Senior level Medical Assistant 

Home office in Arvada with travel to Lakewood, Westminster, Lafayette, and Longmont.

WHAT DO I GET?

MUST HAVES

  • 5 years experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • Willingness to travel to all 5 clinic locations and support front or back office duties.

  • Enthusiastic personality, fun to work with, and excited about teambuilding as well as encouraging a positive team experience.

  • Ability to train/coach/educate/develop more junior staff.

  • Flexibility to take on assignments with minimal notice on occasion.

  • Ability to embrace change and seek innovative ways to improve efficiencies.

  • Exceptional communication skills!

 

WHAT WILL I DO?

  • Assist the providers directly and indirectly with their efforts to give quality care to their patients. This involves a mixture of administrative medical assisting and clinical medical assisting tasks.

  • Coach, encourage, support, appreciate onsite team and assist in troubleshooting day to day workflows.

  • Proactively manage Provider schedule to ensure full patient load.

  • Manage portal access (and/or eCW interface) including activating/deactivating and troubleshooting for Kaiser, UCHealth, Trizetto, MyTelemed, CORHIO, EPIC, Quest, Labcorp, or others.

  • Assist Manager with EMR tech support and upgrades.

  • Assist Manager with daily staffing needs, PTO requests, and timesheet approvals.

  • Back up for vacations and absenteeism for front and back desk including duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, sorting mail, etc.

  • Assist with waitlists and document/telephone encounters.

 

IT’S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE THIS!

CPR/BLS Certificate.
Bilingual in Spanish/English.
Phlebotomy experience.
CMA certification.
Experience with eClinical Works (eCW).

 

OTHER STUFF!

Work hours are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. Reliable transportation (ability to commute with little advance notice) and a valid driver license are required. Work is performed in a busy clinic environment.

Western Nephrology, the premier Nephrology practice in the Denver Metropolitan area, began business in 1968 caring for people with kidney disorders. Today, Western Nephrology provides consultative services at numerous hospitals along the Front Range communities. The practice is comprised of 14 board certified Nephrologists at 5 clinics treating patients for a variety of nephrological conditions including acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and End Stage Renal Disease. In addition to their hospital work, its providers and staff care for patients at nephrology clinics, dialysis clinics and rehabilitation centers.

Salary: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
