Western Nephrology's Acute Program

Western Nephrology’s Acute Program has partnered with renowned hospitals in Denver and the surrounding areas since 1973. Our core operating principles are quality, patient centered care, and outcomes and we strive daily to exceed those principles. The Acute Team collaborates with each hospital and physician to ensure top quality and patient centered dialysis care.  We understand the regulations and regulatory requirements for hospitals and have successfully assisted all of our hospitals in Joint Commission inspections and accreditations along with the credentialing process.

Western Nephrology is the only physician group in Denver that owns and operates its own in-hospital Acute Team, located in St. Anthony Hospital. Western Nephrology integrates ongoing training, education and collaboration with physician and nursing teams to ensure the highest quality of care.

We provide the following services:

• Hemodialysis

• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

• Peritoneal Dialysis

• Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE)

Education and support are critical for our patients and nurses that we support.  We offer classes for some of our therapies and bedside training as well to ensure a continuum of patient care.
