WHAT DO I GET?

WHAT WILL I DO?
This position supports dual administrative functions depending on the number of Providers scheduled for the day:
Patient Scheduling 2-3 days a week

Manage all established patient follow-up direct call scheduling as identified through each clinic’s Wait List reporting.

Determine priority based on critical lab results to refer some patients to other staff members or Providers as needed.

Collaborate with MAs on scheduling requirements for follow ups.
Front desk backup 2-3 days a week

Ensure smooth flow of patients from check-in to exam room.

Ensure proper greeting and welcoming of patients to clinic.

Responsible for collecting complete patient information and inputs it into the EMR system.

Ensure prompt answering of telephones with minimal hold times.

Answer phone inquiries from patients/ potential patients with courtesy and promptness.

Responsible for pulling and distribution of faxes and for sorting mail and distributing.

Maintain patient accounts, update financial information, record and collect patient payments, and run end of day reports.
MUST HAVES
Passionate and enthusiastic about helping people.
Two years of clinic or procedure PATIENT scheduling in specialty care environment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Active listener, detail oriented, multitasker.
Ability to problem solve and anticipate issues.
Strong excel skills with some analytical abilities.
High level understanding of chronic disease.
Knowledge of medical terminology and acronyms and HIPAA policies.
eCW experience (electronic medical records)
Familiar with commercial insurance carrier procedures.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service meeting quality standards that increase patient satisfaction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective interpersonal relationship skills and team player emphasis.
Ability to process large amounts of complex information.
OTHER STUFF!
Work hours are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. (some flexibility with beginning/end times)
Pay Range $19-21

The practice is comprised of 14 board certified Nephrologists at 5 clinics treating patients for a variety of nephrological conditions including acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and End Stage Renal Disease. In addition to their hospital work, its providers and staff care for patients at nephrology clinics, dialysis clinics and rehabilitation centers.
