WHO

Do you love clinical research? The Clinical Research Coordinator is involved in all aspects of research for a Nephrology/Dialysis population in the clinic setting and dialysis center.

 

WHAT DO I GET?

Starting pay is commensurate with knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

MUST HAVES

Bachelor’s degree
1 year of research trials experience

Ability to obtain IATA and GCP certification within one month of hire

Hardworking, compassionate, and highly organized.

Positive attitude and fun to work with.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)/ICH guidelines in clinical research.

 

WHAT WILL I DO?

Patient enrollment: Verify patient conformity to inclusion/exclusion criteria prior to patient enrollment in the study.
Case Report Forms (CRFs): Maintain accurate and complete source documents, complete CRFs or eCRFs for each patient within 5 days of the visit and facilitate sponsor monitoring visits.
Specimen Collection: Collect urine and draw blood samples from each study patient in accordance with study protocol specifications and OSHA standards.
Protocol requirements: Perform and document vital signs; Complete EKGs; Perform procedures required by study (i.e., Hemocue, Ambulatory BP monitoring). 
Management of Investigational Products: Receive and store study medication in locked storage and maintain at proper temperature environment. 
Regulatory Document Administration: Initiate all oral and written correspondence to IRB and sponsor including informed consent, protocol, interim status reports, advertisement and safety reports. 
Budgets: Assist the CEO in formulating study budgets.
 

IT’S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE THIS!

EKG and phlebotomy experience

Overall understanding of research protocol objectives and design.
Knowledge and understanding of FDA and federal regulations regarding research.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, coworkers, clients, customers and the general public.

Experience with eClinical Works (eCW).

 

OTHER STUFF!

Work hours generally are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch with some flexibility to work early and/or late to visit with subjects on active dialysis treatments.

 

Western Nephrology, the premier Nephrology practice in the Denver Metropolitan area, began business in 1968 caring for people with kidney disorders. Today, Western Nephrology provides consultative services at numerous hospitals along the Front Range communities. The practice is comprised of 14 board certified Nephrologists at 5 clinics treating patients for a variety of nephrological conditions including acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and End Stage Renal Disease. In addition to their hospital work, its providers and staff care for patients at nephrology clinics, dialysis clinics and rehabilitation centers.

Salary: $50,000-70,000 annually
