Nurse Practitioner – Advanced Nephrology Care

Key Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner will work in multiple hospitals co-managing patients with chronic and acute medical conditions. Round on patients, create an assessment and plan, and consult with the physician as needed. Includes our current dialysis patients, acute kidney injuries (AKI), new kidney failure, high potassium, severe electrolyte imbalances, kidney related hypertension, and other acute kidney diseases or complications.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advance Nurse Practitioner education (ANP).

  • Valid Colorado license as a Registered nurse and be registered as a Nurse Practitioner on the Colorado Advanced Practice Registry. (or ability to get registered prior to start date)

  • Full Prescriptive Authority in the State of Colorado. (or ability to obtain this prior to start date)

  • nephrology/cardiology/internal medicine: 2 years (Preferred)

  • hospitalist: 1-2 years (Required)
