WHAT DO I GET?
Starting pay is commensurate with knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Two years medical billing experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Committed patient advocate helping to decipher the complexities surrounding insurance claims.
Team player who is passionate and enthusiastic about helping people.
Positive attitude and fun to work with.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
Excellent at maintaining precision when entering and processing data.
WHAT WILL I DO?
Enter information necessary for insurance claims such as patient, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and provider information.
Submit insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper CMS-1500 form.
Answer patient questions on patient responsible portions, copays, deductibles, write-offs, etc.
Follow up with insurance company on unpaid or rejected claims.
Resolve issue and re-submit claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
Prepare appeal letters to insurance carrier when not in agreement with claim denial.
Work with patients to establish payment plan for past due accounts.
Post insurance and patient payments using medical claim billing software.
Perform collections for patient past due accounts.
IT’S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE THIS!
Bilingual in Spanish/English.
Certified Professional Coder.
Experience with eClinical Works (eCW).
Work hours are 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.

Western Nephrology, the premier Nephrology practice in the Denver Metropolitan area, began business in 1968 caring for people with kidney disorders. Today, Western Nephrology provides consultative services at numerous hospitals along the Front Range communities. The practice is comprised of 14 board certified Nephrologists at 5 clinics treating patients for a variety of nephrological conditions including acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and End Stage Renal Disease. In addition to their hospital work, its providers and staff care for patients at nephrology clinics, dialysis clinics and rehabilitation centers.
Starting Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
